With the exception of Chubu Hospital's acceptance of Blue Cross Blue Shield for inpatient visits, local civilian hospitals will require payment in full for services rendered. Most American insurance companies will accept the Japanese bill/receipt and reimburse the patient up to the limits allowed by the insurance policy.
