What is a Netscape Avatar?
It is the little image that accompanies your profile across netscape. Like when you post a story or comment it is placed next to your name.
It does not matter the formart or size you upload because it will be scaled to Size 33x 45 converted to png format after you upload. So that nice 2200x2200 pixel image you spent hours perfecting will be made smaller and possibly turn out like a black dot.
If you change your avatar expect for it to take at least 30 minutes to propagate acroos netscape.
So I been doing some looking. I also took many of the contributers input and this is what I come up with for 1st annual Netscape Avatar awards:
Karina. Man this was a tough one but she took some good suggestions and got a color photo....now she needs to loan it to second place Brigitte. Briggitte had it till Karina changed her avatar.
Brigitte grab Alexia and take Karina for some margaritas then snag her camera...it takes color photos. Sorry Ryan you got no votes this time but nice shades.
citraka. Awesome image and it scaled nicely to the netscape avatar.
